Terms of Service – Sycamore-API

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sycamore-API ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sycamore-API provides an AI-powered contractor registry and search platform for the forestry mulching and right-of-way (ROW) vegetation management industries. The Service includes contractor directory listings, semantic search functionality, profile management, and a developer API.

3. Contractor Listings

Contractor profiles may be created by Sycamore-API from publicly available information. Contractors may claim their profiles by verifying ownership via email authentication. Sycamore-API does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any contractor information.

4. Premium Subscriptions

Premium contractor accounts are billed monthly at $19.00 USD via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your profile dashboard. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Sycamore-API reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice.

5. API Access

Developer API access is subject to rate limits and fair use policies. Free tier accounts are limited to 1,000 requests per month. Commercial use of the API requires a paid developer plan. Sycamore-API may suspend API access for abuse, excessive usage, or violation of these terms.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to: (a) scrape or bulk-download the Service beyond permitted API limits; (b) submit false or misleading contractor information; (c) use the Service for spam or unsolicited communications; (d) attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent security measures.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SYCAMORE-API DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

SYCAMORE-API SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
